We're Getting Married!

I always tell people that I wish we had a better story of how we met, but we met each other online through an app called "Coffee Meets Bagel"... sounds pretty lame, I know. When I moved back to NC all my friends were in relationships and I knew that I wanted to find someone so after a few glasses I wine I had the courage to create a profile. I heard that Coffee Meets Bagel was an app that was used more for 'real' relationships and not just "hooking up" - I have no idea of true that is but it worked out for me. As I was swiping through I noticed a cute guy who worked in recreation, I thought well that is one thing we have common. I swiped right, he messaged me, we talked for a few days and then he finally asked me out to dinner. Lucky for me Kyle was the only date I went on, and thank goodness it worked out because the idea of meeting a stranger at a restaurant was WAY out of my comfort zone and I am so glad I don't ever have to do that again. Kyle suggested that we go to a sushi restaurant in downtown Durham, at the time I was not a big sushi fan but I didn't want to be picky so I agreed. It was Saturday, August 2, 2017 and we were meeting for dinner at 7pm. Throughout the day I had written and deleted a text to cancel about 10 times.I was so nervous. Thankfully, I had two of my closest friends, Jack and Kelly, encouraging me to go and give it a try. I shared my location with them just in case Kyle turned out to be crazy. Obviously, I did not need them and was able to go back and say that we had a great time. That was the first of many dates. Fast forward to September 2020 and he popped the question and we are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
