"KURTIS JACKSON!!!"... this was the first thing Kurtis heard Samantha say. It was their freshman year at BGSU and Samantha was dating Kurtis's roommate at the time. As time went on Samantha ending up spending more time with Kurtis than with his roommate. They became fast friends thanks to late night conversations, tips to Chili's the BGSU connivence store and having some of the same classes. Kurtis and Samantha were inseparable in college living together for multiple years and becoming part of each-others family. Kurtis owes a lot of who he is today to the time he and Samantha spent supporting and loving each-other.
Jenna Bahler

Jenna and Kurtis met in 2017 at Moya elementary where they were both teachers. Kurtis and Jenna naturally gravitated toward each other thanks to their shared sense of humor, love of pop culture and natural inclination to be petty (or at least talk a petty game). Over the last 5 years Jenna and her husband Derek have become close friends with Kurtis and Tim. Kurtis and Jenna have successfully turned Derek and Tim into Drag Race fans. Throughout the pandemic Kurtis, Tim, Jenna and Derek have spent a lot of time with each other sharing good food, playing board games, and enjoying drag race.
Samantha Gomez
Best Woman
Samy and Tim met at AIPX through mutual friends. Though they were acquainted for a while they truly bonded when they had a graphic design class together. They sat next to each other and everything just clicked! They were the rowdy kids in the class who were always causing a disturbance whipping their hair back and forth. The teacher definitely wasn’t happy to have us. Tim has always envied Samy’s unapologetic passion for the people and things she loves. Whether it be Disney, Sailor Moon, Final Fantasy, K-pop, or Fan art. Samy is Tim’s best maid and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Because she threatened to kill him if she wasn’t.
Marshal Uhls
Groomsman
Marshal and Tim met in a Storyboarding class in college at AIPX. Marshal was the artist to beat in that class so naturally Tim was envious of his skills. Through various classes, mutual friends, and random college parties, Tim and Marshal bonded over their love for art, animation, and music with late night talks about animation, jamming incoherently to System of a Down, and singing along to “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas. Marshal has always been a fiercely loyal friend and an inspiring creative soul whose journey Tim has had the honor to witness and is even more honored to have as a Groomsman.
