Thorncrown Chapel
Ceremony Venue
Designed by E. Fay Jones, Thorncrown Chapel is in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It was constructed in 1980 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The design recalls the Prairie School of architecture popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright, with whom Jones had apprenticed. The chapel is a significant piece of architecture and was studied by Alyssa and David while at Carnegie Mellon. Jones grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and became an AIA Gold Medal winner and prompient educator in architecture. He is the namesake of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, where Alyssa and David currently teach. https://thorncrown.com/
The Momentary
Reception Venue
The Momentary is a contemporary art space located in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. It is a satellite to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, a world class museum funded by Alice Walton and designed by Moshe Safdie also in located in Bentonville. The Momentary was a project spearheaded by Alice's nephews with a mission to invest in cultural and community resources. Designed by the Chicago-based Wheeler Kearns Architects, The Momentary is housed in a converted Kraft cheese plant and facilitates a range of visual, performance, and culinary experiences. Alyssa and David's dinner reception will take place in The Momentary's Tower Bar, located at the top of The Momentary and known for great drinks and views across Bentonville. https://themomentary.org/
