FAQs

The Wedding Website of Brittany Kuhn and Alexander Fowler
Elizabeth Furnace, Lititz, Pa. Private property of 33 acres of land nestled in Lancaster County. Registered as a national historic landmark, the Steigel-Coleman Mansion dates back to 1776.
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding is semi-formal, so we encourage you to wear garden cocktail attire (suit & tie, cocktail dresses). Tip for the ladies: there are grassy areas and gravel paths, so wearing chunky heels is highly recommended!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we adore your children, unfortunately due to venue reception space limitations, we kindly ask that only adults attend.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at Elizabeth Furnace no later than 4pm on the day of the wedding.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Please mention all food allergy or restrictions when you RSVP. Please RSVP on our website in the RSVP section.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be 2 main shuttle transportation locations to the venue and back: The Wilbur Lititz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton - *Shuttle Pick up Time is at 3:45pm* The Holiday Inn Express & Suites - *Shuttle Pick up Time is at 3:30pm* At 10:15pm, guests will have the option to take a shuttle back to their hotel location or to the After Party Location (Bulls Head Public House - nearby the Wilbur Lititz). An additional shuttle will be available to take guests back to the Holiday Inn until 1am.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We highly recommend staying at one of the 2 main locations where shuttle transportation services will be provided to and from the venue. There are additional location stays, all within a super easy walk to the Wilbur Lititz such as The Alden House and multiple Airbnb rentals. An additional hotel in the area is the Hotel Rock Lititz, but please note - there will be no shuttle at this location.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! If you do not wish to join the transportation shuttle services, Elizabeth Furnace has ample parking spaces in a lot available onsite. Please be careful driving!

Question

Are there accommodations for those who are handicapped?

Answer

Yes! For those who cannot walk well and given Elizabeth Furnace is a large property with stone stairs and long walkways, a golf cart shuttle for the property will be provided to those who experience handicapped-related disabilities. Please inform us so that we can accommodate to your needs on the day of our wedding.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

If you're in town the night before, join us for a (non-hosted) gathering on Friday, September 20th at 7:30pm at the Lititz Spring Inn or Bulls Head Public House (restaurants are connected). Find us at the bar area at either location! An after party will be taking place after the reception is over on Saturday, September 21st at 11pm at Bulls Head Public House, located in the Lititz Borough - an easy walk to the Wilbur Hotel. There will be a shuttle bus available to take folks back to the Holiday Inn Hotel until 1am. Lastly, join us for breakfast as we recover from the weekend at Lititz Springs Inn for a buffet breakfast in the main dining area between 9:30am - 11am, on us! We hope to see you there!

For all the days along the way
