You Should Come to This Thing We're Planning...

We met on Tinder in March of 2020, days before the pandemic that changed everything. As corny as it sounds, from that first day we met we knew that we were made for each other. In fact, we were so smitten that one of Matt's friends made a joke asking us how long we had been together, knowing we had just met hours before. In case anyone was wondering, Brittany's Tinder bio was "I'm 5'10" so I'm probably taller than you" and Matt's first message to her was "I'm 6'3" so you would definitely be able to wear heels with me."

Anyone that knows Brittany knows how hard it is to surprise her (very Type A Virgo vibes), but somehow Matt pulled it off. With their two friends Nicole and Dylan hiding in the bushes on a beach in Cancun, Mexico, Matt took Brittany for a walk on the beach under the guise of a private dinner that didn't exist. Once they were in place, Matt turned to Brittany and said "So, I lied to you, there is no dinner." and ended the proposal speech with bringing out Nicole and Dylan, who had caught the whole thing on pictures and video. Brittany didn't stop crying for a full 24 hours, but all said and done it was the perfect proposal.
