Our first date was spent strolling through the streets of the old Grand Rapids exhibit and then playing in the "vintage" toys and games installation. We did everything from Giant Connect 4 to getting a new high score on the pinball machine in the arcade
The Grand Haven Musical Fountain is a synchronized water and light show accompanied with music of all varieties. Each 20-minute show features a different theme. Each 25-30 minute show is free and plays nightly at dark from Memorial Day through Labor Day as well as Fridays and Saturdays in May.
This paved and maintained bike path wraps around beautiful Spring Lake. The 15 mile bike path has public restrooms along the way at Central Park in Spring Lake, in Fruitport at Pamona Park, at William Ferry Park in Ferrysburg and at Rycenga Park just west of Spring Lake. The boardwalk is 2 1/2 miles and runs along the harbor, which is lined with shops, restaurants, marinas, and charter fishing boats. While it’s a great place for a brisk walk, there are plenty of grassy knolls and benches for idlers who prefer people and boat watching. The boardwalk continues along The Grand River and travels out to Lake Michigan where you can walk the pier and take photos of the lighthouse.
The Lakeshore Trolley operates every day from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, and offers an around-town tour of Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg. A great activity for the entire family! Each summer from Memorial Day through Labor Day trolley rides are available to residents and visitors alike. The trolley is $1.50, which can be paid with exact change upon boarding or by purchasing a ticket online for your intended ride and showing your receipt to the driver. There is a discounted fare of $0.75 for persons 4-18 years old, 60+ years and older, and persons with a disability.

The in house bakery provides blueberry muffins, cookies, buckle, breads, and pie… baked fresh daily.
