Rachel & Sam

Rachel & Sam met in December 2019 (thanks to a setup by three of their favorites: Aunt Suz, Jess and Scott). Shortly after they started falling in love, the world seemed to be falling apart. COVID-19 began to take over NYC, and Rachel and Sam spent the next four months out of the city with family. In the Chesapeake Bay, Freda taught Rachel how to bake Challah, and Jay placed a 4th chair around the fire pit. In Martha's Vineyard, Sam experienced the joys of the Glick's happy place (like sunset-chasing with Larry and chopping in the kitchen with Holly). The quality time spent with their families was the “platinum lining” of 2020 (a Holly Glick original). It was an experience like no other and grew their love for each other to new heights. It was clear that what they shared was for certain a love to last a lifetime. Sam and Rachel got engaged on their favorite beach, Lucy Vincent, in July 2021. At the same moment Sam proposed, the waves came crashing to shore soaking them waist-deep. Drenched in the sea, they bursted into laughter. Rachel & Sam now look at this moment as symbolic of their relationship and a reminder for their future: when the unexpected waves appear, hold each other tight and keep laughing.
