Adam and Jessie met while working together on the ambulance at Marshall Area EMS. While Adam did his best to ignore her, Jessie had a way of dragging him into the day-room for chats about global issues and Harry Potter movie nights. Jessie threw Adam a birthday party and showed off her (terrible) dance moves. Adam third-wheeled a ski trip with Jessie and her cousin (thanks for being a good sport, Britt). And the rest was history... Plot twist: A mere three months after they began dating, Jessie moved to Amman, Jordan for a job, and Adam began medical school in Madison. They kept in touch with frequent face-times, phone calls, and letters. Adam gratefully kept Jessie around even after she returned from Jordan with a stray dog. The past several years have been full of weekend date nights and driving between cities, as Jessie finishes medical school in Milwaukee and Adam works as a resident physician in Chicago. Last year rounded out 5 years of dating, and they now consider themselves pros at long-distance. They can't wait to hopefully be in the same city in 2024 and tie the knot!
