Rachel and Kara met on their first day working at St. Dominic High School. A walk around Quail Ridge Park was all it took for these two to become inseparable! You would never see one without the other, especially on morning coffee runs or at lunchtime. Did you know they even managed to have a plan time together? Talk about a perfect recipe for getting nothing done! Though their time together at Dominic came to an end, their friendship would never meet the same fate. There is often not a day that goes by where they aren't sending pictures, math memes, or just talking about every day life. Kara couldn't imagine anyone else standing right by her side than the other pea to her pod.

Andrew Halaney

Best Man

Kris and Andrew met on the first day of first grade on the library wall at Henderson Elementary. Though they weren’t in the same class until fifth grade, their friendship was solidified well before then with video games, trampolines, and riding bikes. Seven of their years were spent apart due to distance, but Andrew has always been the glue that holds our friend group together. For those of you lucky enough to personally know Andrew, you will understand why Kris picked him to be his best man.

Nicole has known Kris since high school and shortly after meeting Kara, Kris introduced them. Three years and countless memories later, Kara is ecstatic that she gets to call Nicole a close friend! Their love for rosé, TikTok, dogs, and countless other things have strengthened their bond. Both Kara and Kris are so honored to have a friend like Nicole and can’t wait to celebrate the day with her!

Matt Bruening

Matt and Kris have been friends since early elementary school and quickly created the trio that is Kris, Matt, and Andrew. They have shared many hobbies over the years, especially their love for guitar/bass. Many great memories were created at Matt’s lake house or in Matt’s parents basement. Not only do these pals chat in day to day life, they also work together too! Not many days go by where Kris doesn’t have some form of conversation with Matt. Kris is excited to have a lifelong friend like Matt supporting him on this day!

Rachel Rothermich

Kara met Rachel sometime in middle school, but Ms. Buffa’s eighth grade history class is when Rachel asked Kara to be the father of her egg baby and their relationship blossomed. That was the start of many inside jokes, trips all over St. Louis & beyond, and more. Their adventure continued in college when they had an opportunity to not only be best friends, but roomies! The wedding day wouldn’t be completed with Kara’s Loner Buddy.

Keegan Fouch

Kris and Keegan met in their Intro to Business Class sophomore year of high school. Kris was infatuated with Keegan’s commitment to sleeping every day during class. On those rare moments Keegan was awake, they formed a friendship based on music and FIFA. Throughout their college years, you could oftentimes catch Kris and Keegan hanging out by Keegan’s firepit. Kris has no doubt that you will find Colonel Fouch with a whiskey and a cigar at the wedding.

Sarah Brandt

One of the best things Kara’s brother ever did for her was bring Sarah into her life! Though they only see each other every few months, Kara has been blessed by Sarah’s caring and thoughtful nature. They have been able to create memories in Wisconsin, Missouri, South Carolina, and hopefully more to come! It means the world to Kara that Sarah is able to stand up with her on her special day!

Joshua Walters

Joshua is the older brother of the Walters duo. In true little sister fashion, Kara used to spend her days following him around. But unlike most older brothers, Joshua would often times make room for her, corrupting her along the way. Though he may have slammed her head through a sliding glass door (factual or dramatized…no one knows), Kara feels blessed that she gets to call Joshua her big brother.

Karsyn Williams

Karsyn is the third and youngest child of the William’s household. Although Kris really wanted a little brother, he is fortunate to have Karsyn as his little sister (plus Katie is a much better role model than Kris…haha). Those who are fortunate enough to know both personally will know just how alike Karsyn and Kris are, including but not limited to: their sleeping habits, their quiet personalities, and their unique ways in which they communicate with one another. Both Kris and Kara are lucky to have such a rockstar by their side!

Mack Weaver

Shocking development, Kris and Mack met through their friendships with Matt and Andrew. As the older and wiser member of the group, Mack led Kris and Matt to pick up a guitar and fall in love with music. Though he moved away for a few years during and after college, the group became whole again when he moved back to St. Louis. Kris has been grateful to make many memories with Mack in the past few years and can’t wait to continue to make more!

Hannah Sellers

Hannah and Kara met the first week of college and instantly knew they would be best friends and eventually, roommates! They created a lifelong bond through weekly grocery trips, Frozen, SVU, and more. They really were the perfect roommate duo because Hannah hated cleaning and Kara hated cooking. Though their friendship became a long distance one, the miles between them and hectic schedules couldn’t keep Kara from imagining her day without Hannah by her side!

Dillon Runnels

Dillon and Kris have known each other since early elementary school and spent most of their time riding bikes around Dillon’s yard. This eventually led to their mutual love of dirt bikes. Kris, Dillon, and their dads traveled to several races together over the years and created many memories along the way. Kris is excited to have a friend as supportive as Dillon by his side!

Kaitlyn Smith

Kaitlyn is the oldest and wisest of the William’s sibling clan. Although Katie was not thrilled about the prospect of adding another kid to the clan, Kris and Katie quickly became partners in crime. Their parents would often hear them having conversations from separate rooms in their sleep. Due to their close age, they had the privilege of not only being siblings, but best friends. Though Katie may not live close anymore, she is still the first person Kris turns to for advice. Kris is thankful to have such a great big sister and can’t wait to share this day with her!

Drew Smith

Kris and Drew met through his big sister and is excited to get to call him his brother in law. Though in their time together they have never lived in the same town, Kris is always excited when they are able to get together. They have many common interests including Star Wars, video games, and computers and could probably talk about them for hours if Katie and Kara weren’t around. Having Drew as a groomsmen was a given but when Kris and Kara thought about who should marry them, the person that instantly came to mind was Drew!

Gibbs aka Gibbsters, Gibblett, Gibbles, and Gibbers walked in to Kris and Kara’s life in December of 2021. Though he was shy at first, Gibbs quickly became the pivotal member of their household. You will often find him barking when he doesn’t get his way, chasing around his little in size but big sister Scarlett, or following his mom everywhere. Make sure to keep a look out for the big personality in polka dot socks on the big day!
