Short version... a mutual friend gave Kristin to Rob for his 28th birthday I guess that requires a little more explanation. A few years ago, a friend of Kristin's invited her to hang out for a work buddy's birthday. "Why not?," she figured. Once she showed up, she realized she didn't really know anyone and she would probably just stay for a little bit and then head home. Until the birthday boy (Rob) sat down with her and started talking to her. He was so kind and so friendly that she immediately felt at ease. Little did either of them know, they had been set up. But hey, it worked! In fact, she didn't even realize he was hitting on her until she was already roped in! When the tequila shots started flowing, Kristin and Rob ran away together to hide (NEITHER of them is friends with tequila shots.... but who is?!) The rest is history! They set up their first date for two days later and each of them found everything in the other that they'd always imagined. They are each other's match in every way, including smartassery & tenacity (in case anyone was wondering, yes- that is a nice way of calling them stubborn!) They understand each other's dark sense of humor and each makes the other stronger... Fast forward to two years later, somewhere in the backwoods of Utah surrounded by rocks and an almost invisible arch, Rob asked Kristin to be his adventure partner forever! Since they were surrounded by high ledges and Kristin didn't really want to try her survival skills after flying off of one, she said yes! Although their wedding will look much different than (any of) their previous plans, Kristin & Rob can't wait to celebrate their love with their friends & family this summer!
