We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met at the University of Rochester when David was a sophomore and Kristin was a freshman. We were both studying to be scientists, but oddly enough, we met in an Economics class. On the day that we met, Kristin was trying to introduce herself to the guy in class wearing a Red Sox shirt. This was not David. When told that he was not a Red Sox fan and was given the shirt as a gift, David promptly announced to Kristin that he was in fact a Red Sox fan. After spending time together in and out of the classroom, and Kristin visiting David in Rochester that summer, we officially started dating in the Fall of 2012.

After graduating in 2014, David moved to Boston to pursue his PhD in Chemistry at Boston University. After completing her undergraduate degrees in 2015, Kristin then followed David to Boston to pursue her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at UMass Medical School. Both Kristin and David have since completed their degrees, started full-time jobs (finally!), and moved out to the suburbs where they have plenty of space for their puppy Pemi to run around.

Kristin and David went on a beautiful hike of Sandwich Dome. At the summit, David suggested that Kristin put on another jacket so they could stay in the cold longer and enjoy the breathtaking views of snow covered Mount Washington. After she fiddled with her zipper (for at least 10 minutes according to David), Kristin looked up to find David down on one knee and asking her to marry him. Kristin excitedly said "Yes!" and they popped a couple of mini-champagne bottles that David had snuck into his pack that morning without Kristin noticing. Additional hikers that reached the summit celebrated with Kristin and David and took pictures of them. And apparently news travels fast on the trails of NH because on their way down, Kristin and David were congratulated by every hiker they passed.
