Our friends had been trying to set us up with each other for a little while. We finally met at a friends house during the first Razorback game of the year. It was Arkansas vs. El Paso, Texas and everyone was locked into the game, but we both kept talking about our dogs and how identical they looked. We started our first dates with dog parks and lots of sushi dinners. The rest is history!
We were about to head back to Little Rock after helping my dad move a few things to his new house in Fayetteville all weekend. Will wanted to go to Lake Sequoyah before we left, so we could see the waterfall. I was pretty exhausted from the full weekend, so I was really not wanting to go hiking and begged Will to skip the hike and leave, but somehow he convinced me to go, and I'm glad that I did! As soon as we hit the muddy trail, we were stunned by the view. It was early in the morning and there was still a mist above the water. We ended up getting turned around and got lost, we couldn't find the waterfall! I was getting tired and begged Will to turn around to go back to the car. Will quickly had a plan B prepared though. Our tradition anytime we go hiking or kayaking is to bring home a small rock for his rock garden back home. He agreed to turn around, but first he said he was going to "pick a rock" to take home from this trip. He bent down on one knee to pretend to pick a rock off the ground, and quickly pulled out THE rock! I was so completely shocked, I finally said YES! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the wedding!
