Wedding Party

Jennifer Maule

Maid of Honor

My role model, my friend, my sister. While we may have not always gotten along growing up (I was the annoying little sister who stole her clothes), she has always been the person that I most looked up to in life. When I think about the wife, mother, and Christian woman that I want to be, my sister is one of my biggest inspirations. So naturally, she will be standing next to me as my maid of honor (she's too young and beautiful to be called a matron) as her husband joins Joel and I in marriage.

Kris and I met when we were 9 years old when we were cheerleaders for a youth basketball team. (Go Blue Devils!) One day after cheer, Kris and I were playing at her house where I discovered her stash of JTT and Devon Sawa posters and magazine cutouts. This chick was so cool and I was all in! We’ve been besties ever since! Kris is my sister. We have done life together for so long. I like to call Kris my human diary because she remembers EVERYTHING! We’ve been childhood besties, to college roommates, to post college roommates, partners in crime, sisters in Christ, to bridesmaids. We‘ve been together for every adventure and now I’m so excited to celebrate her and Joel’s new one. She deserves her fairytale and I’m so excited to witness it. Love you Kris! Eeeeee!

Kristen and I have been friends for too many years to count. Seriously it would make us sound old! She has been there for me through every big moment of my life. She prayed with me the first time I accepted Christ into my heart, she continuously comforted me when my sister passed away, she stood next to me on my wedding day, and has always been the best Titi to my kids from the day they were born, she's never left me. She is my rock! We really are a great team. I know we have so many memories left to share. Now it is going to be her wedding day, her journey into motherhood, and my turn to be her rock! I am here for it and I can't wait! We aren't getting any younger, but I truly believe we are getting better with age! So let's do this shit!

Who knew I was going to meet a life-long best friend in the service station of Hanna’s restaurant between the espresso machine and the bread oven. And little did I know I would not only get to work with Kristen, but also live with her in our Dana Point bach-pad. I am lucky to have had Kristen by my side for Vampire Diary marathons, late-night couch talks, lightning-storm cuddles, weekend brunches, birthdays, boyfriends, and lots of bottles of wine, but also as my rock to lean on for life’s lows and highs. Kristen stood with me as I walked down the aisle, and I am so lucky to do the same for her. She is my “mom” and I’m her “baby” and I don’t like to share her…but for Joel, I will :) Thank you, God, for blessing me with Kristen. We’re all grown up now and I can’t wait to see what’s in store!

Kristen and I met on my first day at Outback Steakhouse, I was 21 and she was 19. Truly just babies that learned life together. She had a happy heart and open spirit. Our friendship was solidified when people thought we were sisters. We had the best time and made amazing memories and a few other life long friends. She was there when I met my husband and the maid of honor at our wedding. I am truly grateful for such a loving friend.

Kris and I met at Outback Steakhouse almost 20 years ago. We had an instant connection and she has been one of my closest and dearest friends ever since. She is one of the few people who truly knows everything about me and it’s so wonderful to have such an honest and solid friendship. We have been through the highest highs and lowest lows together. She stood by me at my wedding and I’m very proud and honored to be able to stand by her on her special day as well. I’m looking forward to making many more, probably less crazy, memories but great memories all the same.

Bridesmaid

Kris and I met at Outback Steakhouse when we were teenagers. It didn’t take long for Kris, me, and a few of the other bridesmaids to all enter the same friend group. The group went to concerts, had sleepovers, went to TGI Fridays too many times to count, went snowboarding, watched football, and shared any and all of our deepest secrets. After one long double shift we were hanging on the patio after work drinking "Shirley temples", and decided that we just loved each other too much… it was time for Kris and me to “get married”. We walked down the patio “aisle” and had a fake ceremony, and ever since then we have been each other’s “wifey”. I couldn’t be happier for Kris and Joel. Cheers to passing my wifey off to her soulmate… it’s time to make that name official!
