Here's a list of a few of our favorite things to do and eat on island.

Welcome to Cow Cow!

This is our favorite rice yogurt drink place. 

Krista's order: Red Jujube rice yogurt, 25% sweet
Daniel's order: Mango rice yogurt, 25% sweet

Cowcow’s Tea

One of our favorite hikes. This 2.5 mile, fully paved, out & back hike is great for everyone. The views are spectacular, and we've even seen whales there.

Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail

Another favorite hike. This one is a 4.4 mile, out-and-back trail with breathtaking views of both sides of the island. We recommend starting early as parking can be hard to find and it can get very hot later in the day.

Kuliouou Ridge Trail

Our favorite Korean BBQ for the price. We went here after finishing the marathon last year.

Han Yang Restaurant

Our favorite surfing beach. Great for beginners (but there isn't any rentals available at the beach unless you are military). Even Daniel's mom caught waves here.

White Plains Beach

Favorite hole in the wall saimin spot. Where Krista and Maile grew up eating Grandma Arakaki's saimin with the Leisher ohana.

The Stairmaster 3000 that gives breathtaking views. Only 1.6 miles, straight up. No shade. No excuses.

Koko Head Hike

Bomb ass food in a bowling alley. Get the tasty chicken and lemon crunch cake. Nuff said.

Our typical date night includes a sunset picnic dinner at Ala Moana beach and  ending the night at our go-to date night spot, Jejubing Dessert Cafe. Our favorite order is the Black Sesame.

Snorkeling for those who haven't yet. You do need to make reservations ahead of time. The beach is beautiful.

Furikake Chicken is fire. Garlic chicken is really good too.

KJ’s Local Grindz

Favorite tonkatsu we have had outside of Japan. You do need a reservation for dinner and it's usually booked 3 months out. And it's worth the wait.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort Friday Night Fireworks

The whole street shuts down and everyone dresses up in costume. Great for people watching!
