Things to do/Restaurants

The Wedding Website of Krista Scott and Patrick Ellis
We wanted to share some of our favorite places to eat and hang out! There are plenty of sites to see and family-friendly activities! The Waterway has fantastic nightlife, which is beautiful and safe!
Sam Houston Statue & Visitor Center

Sam Houston Statue & Visitor Center

7600 Texas 75, Huntsville, TX 77340
, 936-291-9726

A visit to the world's tallest statue of an American hero offers a great perspective of Huntsville. A tribute to courage, the Sam Houston Statue was designed and constructed by artist David Adickes. He dedicated the statue to the City of Huntsville on October 22, 1994. It is the world's tallest statue of an American Hero at 67 feet tall on a 10-foot sunset granite base.

The Woodlands Waterway

The Woodlands Waterway

31 Waterway Square Pl, The Woodlands, TX 77380
, (281) 210-3800

The Woodlands Waterway can be considered the lifeblood of the city. It winds through The Township’s center, spilling into Lake Woodlands and connecting all the attractions along its path. We kayak its waters, dine before its edge, and watch the sun set from its banks. This district offers vibrant nightlife, performing arts, dining, hotels, and outdoor green space.

Market Street

Market Street

9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380
, 2814194774

At Market Street, you can explore more than 90 stores and lifestyle destinations, dine at restaurants overlooking Central Park, and even stay overnight in the on-site Hyatt Centric The Woodlands. Let the kids burn off some energy at Market's Streets Splash Pad or relax with the family and enjoy lawn games in Central Park. Market Street is also home to several art installations and is within walking distance of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

The Goose's Acre Bistro & Irish Pub

The Goose's Acre Bistro & Irish Pub

21 Waterway Avenue, The Woodlands, TX 77380
, 2814661502

It is believed the name "The Goose's Acre" derived from the fact that in former times a local resident, Kate Barr, grazed her gaggle of geese there daily. And when farmers brought their goods to market, this is the area in which the geese were kept. Now all that remains of "The Goose's Acre" is the portion on which is sited the monument of the War of Independence and the recently erected ogham stone commemorating the United Irishman John Walsh, "The Blacksmith of Ballyannon". We love to sit on the Patio with a drink and get the Giant Pretzel! They also have an amazing Chicken Pot Pie!

Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe
