Question

Where will the wedding take place?

Answer

We have rented out the historical Indian Point Manor in Eagle River for the weekend. We have included a few photos in our gallery below. If interested, here is a brief history and description of the grounds 👇 Indian Point Manor was named after the Indian statue at the SW corner of the property overlooking Catfish Lake. The property was originally built by former Chicago Mayor Edward Kelly in 1929. The mayor and his wife carefully and meticulously planned the property to include such items as a projection room for the theater, a two-boat wet boathouse, a great room with 31’ cathedral ceilings, and a carriage house above the garage for his security detail. Indian Point Manor is a massive 9-bedroom house with modern updates and a rich history. The grounds include a boat house with an upper-level game room, a private lookout over the lake, and a full-sized tennis court. An outdoor fire pit and grilling area are also located next to the main house among the meticulously groomed yard. The main house is comprised of two levels of stunning architecture and luxurious comforts, bathed in warm light from wall-to-ceiling windows throughout the main level. The great room is the central hub of the home with 31’ cathedral ceiling, huge stone fireplace, piano, adjustable seating arrangements with a large LOVESAC couch, and state-of-the-art 85” TV with theater sound. Relax and play board games, enjoy a fire in the wood fireplace or have a movie night. Does your group have talent? Use the 1920s finely tuned grand piano to belt out some songs or have a dance party with the tremendous surround sound system. At the end of the night relax on the couch and marvel at the petroglyphs carved into the Great Room walls.

Question

Are we able to stay at the Manor?

Answer

YES! We have limited rooms available at our rental property, Indian Point Manor. The establishment is incredibly spacious, but there are a limited number of bedrooms available. Please let us know your accommodation preference as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. There is technically enough space/beds for everybody to stay on the property with us, this is a big part of the reason we opted for a “micro” style wedding 🤗 However, we definitely understand that some may not want to share a bedroom/bathroom/common area. If you are interested in staying with us at the manor, let us know. We will do our best to accommodate all requests ☺️ A group stay isn’t your vibe? That’s okay too! There are plenty of nearby rental + hotel options, and we are more than happy to help you find something that fits your needs.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We LOVE your kids! However, we want to keep this an adult event- you deserve to unwind and relax too!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Great question, we would love to tell you! We are choosing to align our big day with our lifestyle, so there will be no alcoholic drinks provided. We are so excited to soak in all the love of the day, and focus on being present 🥹 mocktail request or idea? Text us!! While we definitely don’t mind what you do off of the property, we would prefer the grounds remain an alcohol free zone. Sober weddings give you “the ick”? Hey, that’s okay, too! Send your love from afar, and we will celebrate next time we see ya.

Question

Will all meals for the weekend be provided?

Answer

We will have dinner both friday and Saturday. We anticipate having some breakfast/brunch/lunch/snack options available for all on Saturday and some to-go breakfast options Sunday for those staying at the manor. There is plenty of kitchen space if you want to prepare your own food for lunch Saturday, and tons of local restaurants to check out!

Question

Is there a charge to stay at the Manor?

Answer

NO! From the beginning we wanted to be able to offer a cost free accommodation for our mini destination wedding. We SO appreciate everybody making the trip! If you decide to stay at the manor, it’s on us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our attire preference would probably fall under “cocktail/semi formal”. However, your comfort is important to us, please wear what you feel best in! If you would like to be apart of a cohesive look for aesthetic photos, ask Krista for the color palette 😘 Bring something warm and cozy for outdoor adventures/a post wedding fire & a swimsuit for a dip in the hot tub!

Question

What is the address of Indian Point Manor?

Answer

1057 Everett Road Eagle River, WI We suggest just following your phone’s GPS! Let us know if you run into any troubles. If you’re coming from the stateline area, it will take around 4 hours.

Question

What is check-in and check-out?

Answer

Check-in is as early as 4pm Friday 10/25. Check-out is 9am Sunday 10/27.

Question

Can I just come for the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! We don’t recommend making the drive there and back in one day, but if you would rather stay 1 night instead of 2, that’s totally fine. None of the events are mandatory.

Question

Why Eagle River?

Answer

The Northwoods have a sentimental meaning to Cory, which has expanded it’s way to Krista too. We have a small vacation home in Eagle River that we often visit on the weekends, and we knew having our intimate wedding in the Northwoods would be the cherry on top of an already perfect day. ♥️
