We’re getting married!

Krislyn had a crush on Dawson in high school, and their story began with a text on April 1st, 2020. It was the beginning of quarantine so it limited them meeting in-person and they connected virtually. They finally met face-to-face at Chipotle on April 21st, 2020, where they sat in the parking lot for hours, losing track of time. Then, on May 21st, 2020, at Olive Garden, Dawson asked Krislyn to be his girlfriend, marking the official start of their journey together. Despite the distance that began when Krislyn headed to college in East Texas in August 2021, their love grew through a 3 year long-distance relationship. The challenges of being apart turned out to be the secret ingredient that made their relationship better!

Krislyn finished up the spring semester of her junior year at college on May 12th, 2023. Dawson treated her to a celebratory dinner at Sirriso’s in The Woodlands on May 15th, 2023. He gave her a heartfelt written letter, a sweet tradition he’s always done. They drove to the pasture on his family's property, with large white letters spelling out "marry me," white petals, twinkling lights, and cherished photos of their journey together. Dawson's grandmother drove Krislyn on their golf cart, where she found Dawson waiting with a speaker playing "Greatest Love Story" by Lanco. In that moment, captured by Krislyn’s best friend who is also a photographer, Dawson proposed, leaving her genuinely shocked. It was such a special and intimate moment shared just between them.
