It all started on Saturday, March 18th, 2017. The happy couple met on Country Dancing night at the Graduate. A cute brunette with a French braid caught Kris' eye as her looks were only exceeded by her dancing skills. He approached to get a better look as she was pretty good on the dance floor. Marissa beat him to it and asked him to dance as she didn't want one of her other friends to take her opportunity. After a nice dance, Kris introduced himself and started small talk. Marissa was so excited that the most handsome hunk at the Graduate approached her. They quickly began to realize that they had similar interests including dancing, volleyball, and the great outdoors. They were amazed their paths hadn't crossed before at "The Grad" being regulars and all; Marissa being a member of the Cal Poly Line Dance Club and Kris being a frequent. Or perhaps more striking, their paths never crossed at the Cal Poly volleyball meetup group, which they were both a part of! 2 months later, on Marissa's 21st birthday, they officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. 4 years later, Kris asked Marissa to marry him by taking her to one of their favorite beaches and surprising her with signs that said "Will You Marry Me?" Saying yes was the easiest decision of her life. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
