Florida is known for some of the best beaches in the US, and we are fortunate enough to be in close proximity to two of them! Clearwater Beach tends to have a livelier and more bustling atmosphere, especially around the Pier 60 area. There are street performers, nightly sunset celebrations, and more crowded beaches, making it a great choice for those seeking a more active and social scene. St. Pete Beach has a slightly more laid-back and relaxed atmosphere. While it still offers plenty of activities and amenities, it's often considered a bit quieter and less crowded compared to Clearwater Beach.
Tampa has tons of amazing food options! Here are some of our favorites: The Colombia: Founded in 1905, The Colombia is the oldest restaurant in Florida and easily the most famous restaurant in Tampa. This restaurant specializes in Spanish and Cuban cuisine, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, and has three main locations to choose from in Ybor, Clearwater, and Sarasota. You can also catch a live flamenco show or Spanish guitar performance if you plan it out! American Social: AMSO is a trendy and popular restaurant/bar located in the heart of downtown Tampa. It is known for its upscale American cuisine, craft cocktails, and extensive selection of craft beers. It also offers a spacious outdoor patio that provides scenic views of the Hillsborough River and downtown Tampa. (If you're looking for fun nightlife during your visit, this is also a great option!) Other options that we recommend are Wrights Gourmet Deli, Miguelitos, Ulele, Hula Bay, Noble Crust, Bellabrava, and Caddys!
Here are some places that we think your trip wouldn't be complete without! St. Pete Pier: The Pier is the most special recommendation on this list, because it's where we got engaged! Since being built, it has become a focal point of St. Petersburg's downtown area. Situated along the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay, it offers experiences for visitors of all ages, including a marketplace, aquarium, and a discovery center. It also hosts some of St. Pete's best restaurants and an incredible rooftop bar with panoramic views of the bay! Tampa Riverwalk: The Tampa Riverwalk is a 2.6-mile-long waterfront promenade that extends through the heart of downtown Tampa. It is dotted with restaurants, cafes, and bars (including American Social and Ulele), as well as the Tampa Museum of Art, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, and the Tampa Bay History Center. Other places we recommend you visit are, Armature Works, the Dali Museum, and Tampa Aquarium, and Busch Gardens.
