We actually met through two of our best friends at O'Daly's. Though we hit it off immediately, when a couple other friends of Ashley's showed up and she was introducing everyone, she actually forgot Eli's name telling him he would have to introduce himself. Eli swears that was the moment he fell in love with her. Fast forward to the end of the night at Alchemy, Eli actually helped another guy serenade Ashley with a Josh Turner song only to ask for her phone number the moment the song ended. Unfortunately, Ashley ended up with the flu, so our first date didn't happen until a good two weeks later. Eli swears Ashley was avoiding him to this day - he is full of it.

Throwback Thursday! This was probably said about 10 different times to Ashley throughout the course of the entire date night. Eli had been telling Ashley that he would need to change her brakes since they had a trip coming up, meaning he would be driving her to and from work this date night. Spoiler Alert - Ashley's brakes did not need replacing. The first stop was where we had first met - O'Daly's - to have a drink to kill some time (more so, settle his nerves). We then had dinner at Chuck's Fish which is where we had our first date. The long awaited first date that Eli thought Ashley was avoiding because he didn't believe she had the flu. Eli tried to act like we were going home immediately after dinner but did a last-minute stop at the place he told Ashley he loved her for the first time - the Spanish Plaza Park. Ashley had to keep from screaming 'yes' at Eli from the truck when she finally realized what was happening. Luckily, Eli's hidden photographer was able to capture the whirlwind of emotions from the best moment of our lives so far.
