Our love story began with a friendship. We first met in 2008 during our freshman year at Kent State University on the same floor as our dorm rooms. We had an immediate connection and spark, but didn't act on it at the time as we were seeing other people. We kept in touch and always enjoyed seeing each other. Everything changed in the Fall of 2010 when we both found ourselves single. We started chatting on Facebook and considering each other in a different light. We decided to meet up at the Starbucks on East Main Street near campus-- even though we both weren't coffee drinkers! In the coming months, we spent a lot of time together doing our favorite things-- especially eating ice cream and having Disney movie marathons. On April 22, 2011, we officially began our relationship. 11 years later, we've celebrated incredible personal and professional growth, renovated a house stuck in the 70's, traveled to many cities/states/countries, and (of course) taken many trips to Higgins Lake!

It was a beautiful fall day in November and we decided to go to one of our favorite places, Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Peninsula. We have visited this park several times together throughout our relationship and it holds a special meaning to us. As we walked along our favorite section of the park near the train tracks, surrounded by beautiful fall leaves, Lucas dropped to one knee and asked Christina if she would like to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course, Christina said YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Cleveland!
