We matched on Bumble during the summer of 2020. However, our first date took a while to occur as the COVID-19 pandemic was still in high gear. Because of COVID, our first date was postponed twice - we almost didn't meet! There's more to the story, but after a couple weeks of "playing hard to get,' we FINALLY had a day date on a warm summer Saturday afternoon at Rustico in Ballston, VA. After consuming a couple of beers, we built up quite an appetite. So we wandered over to Clarendon to get some tapas. By the end of the day, we both started to realize that this was beginning of a beautiful love story. :)

On a sweltering weekend in July, JD proposed at a park in Annapolis. A fun fact about this proposal is that another couple got engaged within seconds after Rachel said, "Yes!". To celebrate, Rachel & JD took a beautiful boat ride around Annapolis with some of their close friends.

Rachel and JD live in Arlington, VA, with their one-year old dog, Stella. When they're not at the dog park, you can find them cheering on the Steelers (Rachel) and Ravens (JD), getting together with friends, or planning their next weekend adventure.
