We’re only a little embarrassed by this… Tinder. Geavonni’s pickup line was, “you look familiar, do I know you?” Well, since we were from a small town I figured of course he did and said to my friend “is this a joke? Obviously he knows me.” My friend said to me “it sounds like a pickup line.” I thought how? Where could he go with this? So I just reply back to him, “maybe!” (Really… that’s all I could get out, even over text). Surprisingly enough Geavonni came back with “you sure do look a lot like my future wife.” And the rest is history. And I now think Geavonni is psychic.

We planned a trip to Cleveland over Memorial Day weekend and went to the botanical gardens. It was a nice, but chilly day so we had to stop and get a jacket for me. As we're walking through the gardens, I'm shivering and Geavonni is sweating buckets! We came upon the area he had picked out for the proposal and another couple's proposal was happening, so we continued walking. Geavonni really wanted that spot so he had us walk all the way through the gardens, and back. I'm a little suspicious at this point because he's sweating on a 50 degree windy day and we have now walked every inch of these gardens! When we reached the spot and he got down on one knee, I could not control my tears! The best day of my life... for now <3
