Matt was born in Phoenix, raised in Minneapolis, and moved to Colorado in 2012. Brittany was born and raised in Highland, Illinois and moved to Colorado in 2013. As fate might have it, they were both employed by the same Boulder tech company in 2014 where they met. Matt had his eye on Brittany for awhile, but knew dating someone in the human resources department was strictly forbidden. So, they started off their relationship as friends and climbing partners. As they began hanging out more, Matt told Brittany he was putting in his notice and it wasn't long after his last day in 2015 that he asked Brittany to be his girlfriend. From there, they spent much of their time traveling, skiing, camping, and living the mountain life at their dome home in Boulder with their two pups Higgs and Ellie. Matt proposed to Brittany on her 29th birthday (July 13th) in 2019 at one of their favorite kayaking/paddle boarding spots, Gross Reservoir. After weighing out all her options, Brittany said yes!

Colorado is special to us in many ways and we can't wait to share where we've called home for nearly a decade with you. Come ready to drink, dance and celebrate our wedding day on September 25th, 2021.
