They met way back...back in 2021 that is. In 2021 when Covid measures were starting to slowly lift, Kurt and Jasmine each made their way to dating apps as a way to meet people. Initially they both did not “swipe right” when coming across each other’s profile. However, after seeing each other on a few apps and many swipes later, they matched. (Don't ask them which app they matched on either cause they don't even remember the name at this point. Hah!) A few messages on the app lead to an instagram follow, which lead them to realize that they had some mutual friends. After texting each other back and forth, they not only met in person - they went on their first date on June 24, 2021 at BJ's in Cerritos. They shared a few margaritas, calamari, and even got to watch the basketball game that was happening during dinner (If you know you know).

Kurt and Jasmine "hard launched" as boyfriend and girlfriend on December 11, 2021 during a friends trip to Vancouver, Canada. After a day out in the snow, they had dinner reservations at "The Top of Vancouver Rotating Restaurant." Kurt and Jasmine had a discussion that lead Jasmine to jokingly say, "We can't break up. We're not even together." Two seconds later, dessert was served and on the plate were the words, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Kurt had asked Jasmine to try out a trend with him from TikTok called, “Alphabet Dating.” Rules were that they would take turns going on dates themed with a letter of the alphabet. (For example: Letter A date was Art Night.) Jasmine would go first, then Kurt. Kurt planned it out so he would be in charge of Letter P. Jasmine received a text from Kurt days before “P” Date that they would be doing a photoshoot. Little did Jasmine know that about ninety of their love ones would be secretly following them during the photoshoot. After a forgotten pair of shoes, a few poses, and a few creases on Kurt's Jordans - Kurt asked THE question. It was the easiest, "Yes" Jasmine could have ever said and ugly-cried out. Their life and journey together is just beginning and they cannot be more thrilled to start it together, surrounded by those who mean the world to them.
