Although we technically met at our church in 2021, our friendship didn't fully begin to blossom until 2022-2023. We were friends in passing, both serving in our middle school ministry at church and I just remember walking into the church one day and seeing her differently. She wasn't just volunteer Ryn anymore. She was wrapped in an entirely new light. I began to truly notice how funny, how beautiful, and how amazing she was. We began talking more and more, each day growing closer as friends. Eventually in the fall of 2022, that friendship in my eyes, began to transform into something more. I began to see the possibility of a future together. The possibility of something more. Growing even closer, I took the leap and decided to ask her out on a date. The rest, as they say, is history. - Josh We met 3 years ago through serving in the middle school ministry and attending the same church. Both of us were very active at the church and often found ourselves serving at the same events. For the first two years we were acquaintances slowly becoming friends, it wasn’t until I started to get more involved in the college ministry in the fall of 2022 that we actually started spending time together. Slowly we both started to realize that we actually really enjoyed being around each other, but neither of us were brave enough to initiate anything. Noticing that Josh was often at the coffee shop, I would often stop by hoping to “bump into him”… like three or four times a week. We had many long conversations at that coffee shop, and that’s where our relationship started. After a couple weeks of coffee shop talks, Josh asked me out. And here we are. - Ryn
