Waterloo Village
** Open Sunday, September 1st - 10:00am - 6:00pm ** A wonderful site to experience a little NJ history! This restored 19th century canal town focuses on preserving and respecting the history of New Jersey, with tours and programs on traditional Lenape life, the Morris Canal area and settlers, and life in the 1800s. Visitors can explore a blacksmith’s shop, gristmill, Lenape village, and historic cabin.
Lake Mohawk Country Club
The Village Shops along White Deer Plaza offer some wonderful ways to enjoy the weekend. Grab a bite, buy yourself a little something, and enjoy the views!
Morris Museum
** Open Sunday, September 1st - 12:00pm - 5:00pm The Morris Museum celebrates art, science, history, and the performing arts by providing engaging exhibitions and programs, all of which are designed to excite the mind and promote cultural interests.
The Frelinghuysen Arboretum
** Open 8:00am - Dusk Daily ** The arboretum features thematic collections of flora, ranging from summer and spring-blooming shrubs, ornamental grasses and perennials to shade trees, fall fruit and foliage and a unique garden called the ‘promising plants garden’ which is full of underused plants by growers, nurseries, and breeders. The arboretum also features a network of walking and hiking trails, including a Braille Nature Trail.
Pinch Brook Golf Course
Pinch Brook Golf Course in Florham Park may be a short course, but it should not be underestimated. The layout offers all the challenges of a championship course conveniently wrapped in an executive-length course. Water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, including a pond on the seventh that is shaped like the state of New Jersey. The elevated and undulating greens putt fast and true. They present a test for even the most seasoned golfers. The par-3 holes are particularly tough. Most of them feature strategically placed bunkers fiercely guarding the double-tiered greens, that or a forced carry. The golf course is great for honing your short game skills or for squeezing in a quick but challenging round. Pinch Brook G.C. is hailed by locals as the best short course in northern New Jersey.
