The Wedding Website of Sam Kirsch and Elizabeth Schyling
Question

When is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be at 3pm on Saturday, August 26th. We'll gather starting at 2pm at the retreat center, and then head over to the amphitheater for a quick 3pm ceremony. After that, it's drinks, dinner, dancing, and a lot of desserts!

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

At the Ramblewood Retreat Center out on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, about a 90 minute drive from Seattle. Ramblewood is an old camp that used to run environmental programs for middle and high schoolers that you can now rent out privately. If you would like to carpool with others to get there, please see this coordination link: Would you like to carpool? Do you have available seats in your car? We've set up a rideshare link to help people coordinate - https://tinyurl.com/ridesharekirschyling

Question

How can I RSVP, and when should I RSVP by?

Answer

You can RSVP right here on our website! Please RSVP by June 15th to give us time to finalize all the logistics.

Question

Where's the registry?

Answer

Your presence is truly enough, full stop! But if you are firm in your gifting convictions, we will update this site in the coming weeks with a sparse registry page: we're currently in the process of gutting/renovating/rebuilding a house, and don't have much space for things, but we always welcome contributions to the house fund.

Question

What's the lowdown with camping out?

Answer

Camping out is where it's at! This camp is pretty cool, it's fully decked out to be a 5th grade environmental school camp. Think a dozen or so cabins, showers, volleyball courts, and a central building with an industrial kitchen that can seat ~60 inside, and more if we have to (but fingers crossed we don't...). There's also scattered tent sites, and the actual state park campground is a skip away. The cabins are all just "bunk beds with mattresses", and for the most part open-air, but summer on the Olympic Peninsula is generally warm and mild, so we should have all the ingredients for a good time. You will need to bring a sleeping bag or bedding. If you need help with that let us know!

Question

What flavors of ice cream can we expect?

Answer

Sam is excited to have an excuse to fill industrial-sized freezers with his favorite ice cream, the Tilamook chocolate chip. Elizabeth is working hard to ensure there is space for a couple other flavors.

Question

Will there be pie?

Answer

Yes.
