Our Love Story

From FYP to Forever

Who would have thought that an app as silly as TikTok, and a God so good and sovereign, would bring a Canadian and a Texan together in such a time as this? Kirby and Richard met in December of 2019 after Richard commented on a Christian TikTok that Kirby uploaded. Since them, they have never missed a day face-timing, or spending time in person together when they would travel thousands of miles to be with one another. After making their relationship official on Kirby's birthday in early march, Covid swept through North America and caused the border between them to shut down. Although months of separation went by, Kirby and Richard continued to pursue one another and The Lord's plans for their lives through loads of prayer, intentional conversations, and countless Netflix Party nights. By the grace of God, Richard was able to legally come down to the United States, and since that time of him being down here for meetings and God given opportunities, the decision was clear that they wanted to spend forever together; forever laughing, creating, praising, and pursuing. In this new season of being 'The Kellys,' Kirby and Richard are working out all of the legal jargon and papers as they unify their lives together in the United States. Although they weren't able to get a dream wedding with both families given the circumstances of Covid and financial priorities with Richard's transition, they would love for celebration and support to not be missed in this beautiful covenant before God. Richard and Kirby are grateful for all of the love and support, and are excited to see what is to come in this new season!
