Balboa Park is an urban cultural park in San Diego. Walking through the park you will encounter natural vegetation zones, green belts, gardens, and walking paths as well as museums, several theaters, and the San Diego Zoo.
La Jolla is nicknamed "the jewel" of San Diego. La Jolla's biggest draw for locals and visitors are the beautiful beaches. Here you can also find some coastal restaurants, one of a kind boutiques, museums, art galleries, and a bunch of outdoor activities. If you want to see some sea lions, La Jolla Cove is the place to go.
If you want to get a beautiful hike in during your stay you can head over to the Torrey Pines State Nature Reserve which has trails for all levels of difficulty. Just south of the nature reserve you will also find the Torrey Pines Golf Course where you can golf while enjoying the views of coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean!
The Gaslamp Quarter is a historic district with a lively night life scene. Here you'll find clubs, dive bars, and cocktail lounges. You can also find some great independent and chain restaurants as well as cozy coffee shops.
Little Italy is a family friendly pedestrian friendly neighborhood in San Diego with a myriad of restaurants and cocktail/wine bars. There is also a weekly Little Italy Farmer's Market and a large food hall called Piazza Della Famiglia.
