Intention for our Day
Answer
As the day gets closer, we know there may be various preferences, requests, and emotions that arise. However, we want to gently but firmly remind everyone that this day is, first and foremost, about us and celebrating with everyone we love! We’ve received many inquiries—ranging from children attending to seating arrangements and other specific requests. While we deeply appreciate how comfortable everyone feels reaching out, we want to be clear that we will not be accommodating additional requests at this time. We understand that this may mean some of you will need to have conversations—both internally and externally—with friends or family about what this means for your plans. Please know that we have set our intentions for the day with love and care, and our priority is creating a joyful and stress-free celebration for us as a couple. Regardless of personal preferences or perspectives, political stances, etc. we ask that everyone come with a spirit of support, kindness, and respect—for us and for each other. The best gift you can give us is your presence, positivity, and understanding. Thank you all for being part of this special moment in our lives. We can’t wait to celebrate together! What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
While the official wedding ceremony start time will be listed on your invitations, please arrive 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before the fun begins!

What is the dress code?
Answer
We suggest semi-formal attire for our wedding celebration. For gentlemen, this typically means a suit and tie or a sport coat with dress pants. For ladies, semi-formal attire includes cocktail dresses, elegant separates, or dressy jumpsuits. We want you to feel comfortable and stylish, so feel free to add your personal touch to your outfit! If you have any specific questions about the dress code, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The Barrows House is an indoor/outdoor venue, but the main reception will be held under the tent right outside the inn. We'll have the northeast summer essentials on hand, such as sunscreen and bug repellent!

Are children invited?
Answer
We are thrilled and eagerly anticipating celebrating our special day with you. In order to ensure an intimate atmosphere, we kindly request that only immediate family children join us at the wedding. Your presence means the world to us, and we can't wait to share this joyous occasion with you.
