The open bar begins promptly at 5pm. The ceremony will begin closer to 5:30pm, or once everyone has a drink. You can arrive earlier than 5pm if you wish but you will not be able to enter the ceremony space until 5pm. SqWires has an excellent selection for folks who want get an head start and belly up to the bar.
What does life mean? Does anyone even know? If you're forcing us to define everything, we suppose semi-formal. The groomsmen will be in brown tweed jackets, slacks, and ties, for example.
Is the Pope Catholic?
While we love everyone's kids we respectfully request the ceremony and reception be kids-free.
With your feet! The ceremony and the reception will both be held at Sqwires.
Unfortunately people will likely not be able to walk from the hotels to Sqwires (walking 2-ish miles in January sounds like a bad idea). For guests staying at the Marriott and the Union Station hotel there will be a shuttle running to and from the hotels and the venue. Guests staying elsewhere or not wanting to take the shuttle will need to get a cab or Uber/Lyft.
