Kirsten Smallwood

Kirsten is a long time college friend. She was the first person Meridith met in their Music Fraternity “Sigma Alpha Iota”. They became inseparable ever since.
Sara Woods

Sara is another KSU friend of Meridith’s. They really started hitting it off when they had almost every single class together and became ΣΑΙ sisters.
Cameron Kincaid

Cameron is Meridith’s soon to be Sister in Law. They always have a fun time when the family gets together!
Danyiell Wisecarver

Danyiell instantly became friends with Meridith and Alex by bringing her floating beer pong table to the pool at their apartment complex. They found out that night they were next door neighbors. Danyiell is also an OG member of their Tuesday night trivia group, “The Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies”
Marissa Foore
Bridesmaid
Marissa and Meridith met by working in the same district. They worked together at Pauline South together for a few years before Marissa found a new school to work at. Marissa was the School Psych and offered a very welcoming environment for Meridith to decompress in during the school day. The two became inseparable once Marissa revealed that she was a band nerd growing up. You can usually find the two hanging out on the weekends together sharing many crumbl cookies and workout routines.
Chris Exum
Flower Man
Meridith met Exum her freshman year of college when she had to observe for KSU at Washburn Rural HS. Meridith also student taught at WRHS, and that’s when the two became best of pals. Now they are both educators in the same district and work together with the WRHS percussion section.
Jared Bryan
Best Man
Jared and Alex have been best friends since Kindergarten, which makes him an easy decision to be the Best Man. They have done several activities throughout their child and adulthood, including many a Taco nights at the Bryan household, played countless hours of video games, and shared many a laughs over movies and memories. Alex is honored to have Jared right up next to him on his big day
Matt Haake
Groomsman
Matt and Alex met at Ottawa University and it was an instant connection from their time at Brown Hall. They both were pitchers at Ottawa, as well as served on many activity boards, including the Ottawa Student Senate. While Matt currently resides in Nashville and Alex in Lawrence, Alex knows Matt is an easy phone call/text away to go to for anything.
Kyle Wisecarver

Kyle and Alex met in a more unique manner and that’s a great way to describe this friendship. They met one day at the apartment complex pool, where Kyle and his future wife Danyiell were playing pool Beer Pong. After being rejected by another group, Kyle spotted Meridith and Alex and asked for them to play. After some good fun, it was discovered that they lived in the apartment right above Alex and Meridith!! This made it easy for Kyle and Alex to build a relationship and establish a strong friendship to this day
Tyler Quintana

Alex and Ty met through baseball at Ottawa, as they would often play catch together and do rounds of BP. Ty was always down to go on various adventures through the town of Ottawa. To this day, Ty and Alex still send each other great songs to listen to and ensure that they keep their SnapChat streak by sending each other fantastic selfies
Luke Paldino

Luke and Alex became friends through their enjoyment of playing a variety of sports. They both played on the same travel team growing up, Natural Baseball Academy, and would often spend many of hours working out together. They also bonded over various sports teams that shared the color “orange”; most noted is the University of Miami One of the fondest memories they share include going to a Braves/Cardinals playoff game in St. Louis. The Cardinals walked it off in extra innings and after the game it was easily decided they would definitely be looking forward to the next opportunity!
Bryce Stottlemire

Bryce, or Bruce as he is so often referred to, came into Alex’s life via Ottawa Baseball as well. They often roamed the outfield together and shared many of hours hitting the books at the Ottawa library or residence hall study lounge. One thing that Alex and Bryce definitely love to do is go out and have a good time. They’ve spent many of nights listening to great music and dancing like nobody is watching. And while one may like KU and the other Mizzou, their friendship pushes through the fierce rivalry
Jesse Bargas

Jesse and Alex became friends via family, as he is the brother in law of Meridith. But if you take that out of the equation, there is no doubt they would have still found things to become friends over. To this day, if they aren’t seen hitting the Mario Kart course, talking about the latest Nintendo release, or discussing varying opinions on a Marvel spin off show, you might find Jesse trying to giving Alex handyman tips and tricks that Alex desperately needs
Jackson Markham
Usher
Jackson and Alex met at Ottawa University as members of the Braves Baseball team. Once Alex committed to pitching full time, they became throwing partners; a bond that is everlasting. However, it was their passion towards music, Mizzou sports, and Blues hockey that brought this duo closer together. One of their fondest memories was being front row at a Green Day concert! To this day, it's still undetermined if Jackson knows Alex's first name or still thinks it's just "Kincaid".
Kathleen Keesee
Usherette
Kathleen (or Keesee as she is more commonly referred to) and Meridith met working at Pauline South. With the experience in education that Keesee had, she and Meridith hit it off instantly. She has provided lots of guidance and support to help Meridith become the teacher she is turned out to be. Meridith considers her a "sister from another mister". When the weekend hits, you will often find Meridith and Keesee working out together at Blush Fitness or playing a variety of party games. Fun Fact: Keesee's dad is the officiant for the Meridith and Alex's wedding!
