Welcome to our love story!

Kim: When Emily came to me for personal training, we hit it off right away. She was an amazing athlete and extremely kind and cute. Her smile would light up my day and we would often spend a lot of her sessions laughing and chatting about life together (while doing burpees and pushups!). Gradually over time, we became close friends. It was than that I realized I had a serious crush on her. It was clear there was a serious spark between us, but I wasn't "out" yet and it was a very confusing time. Still, we continued to spend a lot of time together and fell deeply in love. It took me a really long time to come to my senses and admit to myself that my life wouldn't end but would start if I came out in public. Once I did take the leap, everything started to fall into place. It amazes me that our love continues to get deeper every single day. Em: Right after graduating from college and finishing my basketball career I was a lost soul looking for direction. I walked into the Revival Room in October 2013 not realizing at the time that my life would be changed forever in so many beautiful ways. It helped that I started working out with a really cute trainer (thanks Mom) who had and still has a smile that lights up any room, regardless of how many burpees and push ups she made me do. I would look forward to my sessions with Kim every week to just talk about life, crack jokes and get to know each other better. (and of course to get in shape!) Our feelings for each other started to heat up after we went to Tisane in West Hartford for a night of dancing. After that night we both knew this was something special. I was patient and persistent while Kim navigated the coming out process. Good things really do come to those who wait :)
