We're Tying The Knot!

September 23, 2005-We were invited to "hang out" with mutual friends, Alex(Best Man) & Sherri(Kim's co-worker at the time/Bridesmaid). We went to Adobe Gila's in Orlando, FL. We hit it off immediately and talked the night away while Alex and Sherri hit the dance floor. The following week, we were invited again to hang out with Alex and Sherri. This time it was TGI Friday's. It was then that we discovered how much we both hated baseball and crowded noisy places. That night I just knew I had to see him again so I offered him my telephone number in hopes that he would ask me out, alone this time. Soon after that night, he did just that. He asked and I said yes! We went on our first official date on October 11, 2005. Destination: Dinner at Season's 52, Dr. Phillips, Orlando, FL. Just when I thought that chivalry was dead, my K.I.S.A. (Knight In Silver Audi/Knight In Shining Armor) stood before my eyes. The perfect picture of Gentleman's Etiquette, he offered his bent arm with his fist tucked at his chest so that our elbows intertwined. He opened doors for me, pulled out my chair, and ordered for me. We ate and we talked. I was so completely mesmerized by his gallantry and charm that I didn't want the date to end. He drove me back home and escorted me to my door. He kissed me ever so politely on the cheek and we bade our farewells for the evening. That night was amazing. I don't know about him, but I think I was already falling in love!

Some time ago, she was born and raised in Miami, FL. A few years later he was born in Queens, NY and raised in Fort Lee/Cresskill, NJ. In 1988, she left Florida and went to Metuchen, NJ to live, a mere 45 minute drive away from his home in Cresskill. In 1990 she packs up and moves back to Miami, FL. He would later also move to Miami, FL in 1997. In Miami, FL, Kendall to be exact, she works in a nursing home which sits literally next door to the apartments where he lived at that time. Who knew that the love of her life was steps away. So close once again. In 1999 he moves to Orlando, FL where he is a responsible to oversee a group of nursing homes; one of which she works when she also moves to Orlando in 2003. It would be at this nursing home that she would work with his best friend, and her co-worker who happened to be dating. In September of 2005, his best friend and her co-worker thought it would be a good idea to ask them both to come hang out at Adobe Gila's. For 17 years they remained so close yet never crossed paths. But that night, September 23, 2005 fate would prevail and they would meet for the very first time. On October 11, 2005 they would go on their first official date in Orlando, FL.....18 years later on October 11, 2023 in Chicago, IL, on their annual "Anniversary of First Date" trip, he would ask her to marry him. With bountiful tears of joy in her eyes and undying love in her heart, she says "yes". On October 11, 2024 they will gather with family and friends and join together as husband and wife.
