We met on okCupid, an online dating website, in 2015 while Kily was at Wellesley College and Josh was a fresh college grad living in Boston. The first thing we bonded over was our love of reading. Our first date was at Trident Booksellers & Cafe, a combination bookstore and all-day brunch spot.
In our second and third year of dating, we lived one mile apart from each other on the same street which connected across two different cities, Somerville and Cambridge. Needless to say, many walks and drives were taken down that stretch of road.
Since we couldn't get enough of each other, we moved in together in 2017 and shared a 400 square foot apartment in Boston's South End. In this space, we learned how to be long distance (while Kily was travelling to client sites) and bound together (quarantined during the pandemic).
We bought our first fixer-upper condo together in Boston and got engaged during a road trip down to Key West, Florida. While working on home improvement projects and nurturing to our relationship, we learned the value of understanding and devotion.
Life is full of unexpected challenges and joyful triumphs. Every moment presents an opportunity to learn about ourselves and each other. We are so grateful for the meaningful relationships that we have cultivated over the years and look forward to celebrating the beginning of this next chapter with you all!
