Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ryan Kilway and Vanessa Bedoya
Along the Georgia coast, lies a land like no other. Here you will find centuries-old oak trees and miles of sun-drenched beaches. Vast marshlands and winding rivers, beckon visitors who return for generations. Four unique barrier islands (St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Little St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island) and the mainland port city of Brunswick. This is the Golden Isles: one of the best kept secrets on the East Coast. Whether you're in the mood for golf, boating and fishing, horseback riding, trails, spa services or watersports - you will find it all and more here! Check out some of our personal favorite spots and recommendations below:

Driftwood Beach

Jekyll Island, GA 31527
, (800) 933-2627

The driftwood trees will take your breath away and create an unforgettable backdrop for the best photo-ops!

Georgia Sea Turtle Center

214 Stable Rd, Jekyll Island, GA 31527
, (912) 635-4444

Come learn about the care and rehabilitation of sea turtles and leave with your heart a little fuller.

Jekyll Island Historic District

Check out the historic wharf, the various historic cottages and Jekyll Island Club Resort!

Jekyll Island Bike Barn

100 Great Dunes Lane, Jekyll Island, GA 31527
, (912) 635-2648

The best way to get around the island, bike paths border the main drive as well as dive into the marsh to align with the nature trails. Biking the 22 miles around the island is one of my favorite memories!

Horton House

Riverview Drive, Jekyll Island, GA 31527

Don't forget to stop in for a glimpse of Horton Pond where you may be able to spot some floating local favorites (American Alligator). You'll also find the Jekyll Island fishing pier on this end of the island - worth a stop in to see locals catching blue crabs.

The only waterfront restaurant on the island (ECHO) offers Sunday Brunch and spectacular vistas

Saint Simons Colonial Island Tours

Trolley tours are a go-to for me and this one is no different! Great way to get an overview of the island and learn some history along the way.
