The wedding, cocktail hour, reception and after-party will all be held at the Art Factory. Please see the Travel tab if you intend to drive. 70 Spruce St. Paterson, NJ 07501 Please see the Schedule tab for the timeline for events
Cocktail attire. You do not need ball gowns or tuxedos. If you’re not sure what cocktail attire is then go with a utility kilt. No one will ever guess you were unsure of what to wear with such a bold move. We want everyone to feel as safe and comfortable as possible. In an effort to do this we request that everyone bring a face mask to wear while moving through shared areas regardless of vaccination status.
The Art Factory is a unique and old facility that started as a rope factory. Over its history it has produced other textiles, served as industrial fabrication/storage and an art gallery. Today you are more likely to stumble across a photo shoot than an operating lathe. The venue has original floors which can be uneven, cobblestones and lots of stairs. There will be elevators available, but this is a large facility. We recommend comfortable shoes for everyone. There is also a wheelchair onsite should you dance your feet ragged.
We have a room block at the Best Western Plus Fairfield Executive Inn. Please call them at (973) 575-7700 and tell them it is for the Shinzato-Groth Wedding.
We will be arranging a shuttle bus from the hotel to the venue and back (post reception and onsite after party). If you are driving there is no parking at the Art Factory address but they have a lot with a free trolley bus to shuttle you to/from the lot on 15 Market Street (1-min away, we timed it). Please see the Travel tab for hotel location.
There will be hors d’ourves and an open bar at cocktail hour. Dinner will also be served during the reception, which also includes an open bar. The after-party will have some snacks and drinks. Should you have a severe allergy or restriction please talk with the servers prior to trying the food. We want you to do the worm on the dance floor but not because of anaphylactic shock.
We are very excited to share this special day with you. We hope you are just as excited and want to remember it forever through the magic of photography. We encourage you to take and post any photos, but ask that you respect our photographers. They do exceptional work and we are very excited to see the moments they will capture. That being said they will be carrying a taser and are not afraid to use it. Photography is their livelihood and their kids need to eat. They are prepared to drop you, then take photos of you slumped over and soiling yourself. So do not obstruct them as they work.
We appreciate efforts everyone has made to travel and share this day with us. We did not plan a formal rehearsal dinner that would make you have to take more time off work or alter your travel plans. But if you are in town on Thursday night we will have an informal gathering at 7 Tribesman Brewery. Come relax, stretch your legs and enjoy a cold beer.
