...sometimes doesn't stay there! Bryan and Kierstin met in 2008 on the University of Texas swim team. After being friends for several years (the best thing dining hall ever gave us), the two got to know each other better one summer while working Longhorn Swim Camp. Bryan invited Kierstin over for ice cream one night after coaching and things grew from there. On their first date, Bryan took Kierstin to Romeo's (RIP, it's now called Juliet's) and they bonded over swimming and a special kind of humor they could only find in one another. After having lots of fun and making many memories together in Austin, they both left the city in 2012. Kierstin went off to north Texas for graduate school while Bryan started his career in Houston. Two years of many more memories, while one completed graduate school and one survived investment banking said a lot. When Kierstin graduated, she moved to Houston and the two started another new chapter together. So far, this chapter has included deciding on forever together, buying their first home, and getting their first fur baby!

Bryan proposed while on vacation in Costa Rica exactly one month short of six years together. Bryan truly pulled off a surprise, carrying and concealing the ring all the way to the second resort of the trip, waiting until the second to the last night! After days of surfing, horseback riding, and adventuring, he got down on one knee after dinner one night while walking together on the beach. We kept our little secret and celebrated together for one more day before we spread the word and were overjoyed by the love and support from our family and friends! We are so glad you are able to continue the celebration on the day we become husband and wife!
