We met on a Sunday in November, 2021. Once I saw how devoted Samuel was to leading worship (which only took 30 seconds to see), I knew there was something profound in him. He inspired me to ask to join the worship team myself, and after that, we couldn't stop having hours-long conversations about anything. We went on a date to the old fort by where we lived, traveled an hour away to an abandoned boys college to explore, climbed and fell down a mountain, went to subway, and then sat in the car in front of my house for 4 hours talking about any and everything. ...and then it was official. He told me to pick a number between 1-10 and I, thankfully, picked 5 (safest choice, of course). He took my hand and now we are here 2 years later. It's so cliche, it's so romantic, it's the kind of thing where everyone says "awe that's so corny!", it's the kind of thing that would have made us gag or scoff at years ago for being so "ooey-gooey" -but it's all ours, and I think the only thing we wished were different was that it happened sooner. We thank God for us, that we know what true love is because He showed us first. We know it to be providence that we met at seemingly "weird" times in our life- in church- and that it was our spirit, which is Him, that attracted us towards one another. We are so incredibly and profoundly blessed by this, we know that not everyone receives this blessing. We pray for many years, for strength, courage, more love, more learning, more yearning for Him, patience, grace, and perseverance, and most importantly a God-centered marriage. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen
