As we kicked off our MBAs, we were told the two-year journey would be transformational. Little did we know what was in store for us! We met at a themed party at one of Durham’s finest establishments, Shooters II Night Club, and quickly bonded over our love for family, food, and Fireball (kidding). Our story continued after graduation and took us to Seattle, where we spent time together exploring a new city, our romance, and the wild world of e-commerce. Living 3,000 miles away from home, we realized all we need in life is each other. We were best friends but we were ready to upgrade to lifelong partners. And that marked the beginning of our forever!

When Nikhil knew it was time to pop the question (after several subtle hints from Mama Golani), he planned an elaborate weekend with friends and family on July 4th in DC. However, the world had other plans so Nikhil opted for Plan B. A weekend away at their favorite B&B in Charleston set the perfect stage for an intimate proposal. Nikhil carefully pieced all of Khushboo's favorite things together for the special date: blush peonies, Veuve, vegan desserts, and of course Khushboo's dream ring. She said yes and waited a whole day before starting to plan the wedding.
