No - you do not have to fly into John Wayne Airpot/SNA or stay at the Dana Point Harbor Hotel in Dana Point, CA. We recommend these locations as these are both the closest airport and hotel to the venue. However, if you choose to arrive at a different airport or stay in a hotel outside of Dana Point, it is important to remember that southern California traffic may be unpredictable and travel times to and from the airport or hotel may longer than expected.
Yes - Our caterer has prepared options to accommodate all of our guests' dietary needs. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions not listed in the RSVP for the Reception, please email us at the address at the top of the page.
During the ceremony, we kindly ask our guests to dress formally, but comfortable as defined by their cultural traditions. The ceremony followed by the cocktail hour will both be outside on the grounds of the Ocean Institute. Mid-August weather in California on Orange County's coast ranges from 70-90 degrees during the daytime and high 50s to low 60s in the evening with coastal breezes. We strongly encourage our guests to not only be fashionable in their attire, but also functional so they too can enjoy the event no matter what California brings to the wedding!
Yes - the Ocean Institute Parking Lot will be fully available for guests to park for the entire duration of the event. Unfortunately, guests are not allowed to park their vehicles overnight at at the Ocean Institute or in the city of Dana Point.
The Ocean Institute has an aquarium on-site that will be staffed for 1 hour following the ceremony during cocktail hour. We encourage our guests to explore this building and learn from local experts on the marine flora and fauna that live in our coastal neighborhood!
