Our love story began on a Friday night in Jacksonville. Meeting the love of our lives was the furthest thing from our minds. But God had other plans, and our paths crossed during a networking event at Bistro AIX in San Marco. We hit it off quickly and our chemistry was undeniable. Over the course of the next month, we got closer and closer, meeting each other's friends and family. What was supposed to be a quick pop-by for happy hour ended up being the night that changed our lives!

Fast forward five years, one month and six days. We ventured back to where it all began, Bistro AIX for an early dinner. Revisiting one our favorite places was everything we'd hoped for -- but Khairi was a nervous wreck. He had a question to ask, the most important question a man could ask the woman he loves..."what do you want to eat?" (Just kidding, read on please.) After dinner we headed to the Grape & Grain Exchange, which is a five minute drive from Bistro AIX. En route to G&G, Khairi had some business to attend to in San Marco Square. Once the triple-digit heat and an awkwardly coordinated meet up with friends almost gave his surprise (love you K&J), Khairi had to act quickly. Taking her by the hand, Khairi locked eyes with Cassandra, got down on one knee, and asked her to be his wife - and of course she said yes! We've survived career changes, a pandemic, and moving into our first place together. Through it all we have made countless memories and continued to grow in our love. We've been on trips, we've been to concerts, sporting events, weddings, birthdays, and showers. We're beyond thrilled to be taking the next step and continuing to build our life together.
