Things To Do

Chicago Architecture Boat Tour

112 E Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601

If you only do one thing while you're in Chicago (besides attend our wedding!), THIS it the thing to do! It is universally adored and a great way to see the beauty and history of our magnificent city!

The Art Institute of Chicago

111 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603

The Art Institute holds a very special place in Sarah's and Kevin's heart. We even considered having our wedding here! The world class collection, spanning across millennia through the modern day, is matched only by the exquisite architecture of the building itself. We especially recommend the modern wing, the Impressionists exhibit, and Kevin's favorite - marble sculptures!

KOVAL Tasting Room

4241 North Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60613

Looking to explore one of Chicago's many amazing neighborhoods? Take an ride share or public transit up to the Koval Distillery Tasting Room in Ravenswood. Their spirits are a mainstay on our bar at home and the cocktails they mix up at their tasting room are always interesting (and usually delicious!). If you have a hankering for some pizza before or after, head north a couple blocks to one of our favorite pizza places - Spacca Napoli! (more on that below)

Spacca Napoli Pizzeria

1769 West Sunnyside Avenue, Chicago, IL 60640

If you enjoy Neapolitan pizza then you must visit Spacca Napoli. It is one of our favorite pizza places in the city, with the diavola pizza being a particular favorite! Pro-tip - if you don't make a reservation, walk up to give them your name and phone number. You can then walk around the beautiful neighborhood or visit the Koval Tasting Room mentioned above while you wait for your table to be ready. They'll give you ~10 minutes to get back before releasing your table.

Pequod's Pizza

2207 North Clybourn Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614

If you're looking for a true Chicago deep dish pizza experience, look no further than Pequod's. If you ask 10 Chicagoans what is their favorite deep dish, at least 3 will undoubtedly say Pequod's. In addition to their decadent and delicious sauce, their real secret is the layer of cheese they put between the crust and cast iron pan in which your pizza is cooked and delivered to your table. Reservations are hard to come by and the wait for a walk-up is almost always long, but the effort is absolutely worth it!
