Our story began at Chico State 10 years ago, after that it is a bit of a rom-com of unfortunate timing and missed opportunities. Yet throughout the years our roads led us back together kind of like it was meant to be! At Chico state we meant in a night course and walked the same route home each night quickly becoming friends. Later that year Kevin needed a place to stay and I was headed off to Spain. Despite having only known each other for a few months we thought it would be a good idea to move in together for the two months of time that overlapped in our plans. You'd think the story ends here but no, Kevin did not make a move despite an opportunity or two and showed what a true gentleman he is. Two years later I moved to Sweden where Kevin was the first person to come and visit me. Together we traveled throughout Sweden and then England. Traveling together was such an adventure full of laughs and memories we will never forget such as meeting family, the ABBA museum, walking on to the field of the Oakland Raiders game in London, and s much more. Again.... Kevin did not make a move. In 2015 we saw each other again at what is one of the best days of my life. My dad and I visited Kevin in the Bay where he got us on the field with the Green Bay Packers! Incredible! He followed this up with dinner in downtown Pleasanton where he grew up and I got to see a small piece of his home. Back in 2020 we met up again when I made my girlfriends drop me off in Sacramento after a ski trip just to see him. He made a perfect day of it eating at my favorite burgers place and teaching me how to golf at Top Golf. Yet again this wasn't our moment and instead ended with a kiss on the cheek, an awkward hug, and tears at the airport. If you are still there and haven't given up on us yet the next year Kevin drove from Arizona where he was completing flight school all the way to Simi Valley when I was visiting home just to have dinner with me and my family driving all the way home the same evening. Last year Kevin visited Saratoga, NY and since then it has been the best year of our lives. This time he wasn't getting away with an awkward goodbye and an I'll miss you. Instead we FINALLY had our first kiss quickly followed by I love you's and a plan to move to Denver to live together once again. The past year has been the best of our lives filled with adventure, travel, family gatherings, and oh so many laughs. There is no doubt in our minds this is forever and we are so excited to share it with all of you. We love our story, its long and sometimes a bit frustrating but it is ours and has such a happy ending.
