Kevin will tell you that I ignored his swipe on Bumble. I will tell you that I did not take Bumble seriously. We ultimately met on OkCupid. We chatted for a few days before deciding to have our first date on May 4, 2018. We had dinner & saw the Avengers movie. Kevin brought me my favorite movie snacks and yellow tulips & fell asleep during the movie. I knew it was love.
Kevin and I had been planning to stay in a tiny house, go to the Amish Country and go to Hershey specifically to ride the chocolate ride that weekend. We had his grandmother's ring in the apartment, and I was just WAITING for Kevin to propose at this point... and then Covid hit! We canceled our trip and spent the weekend in the apartment with the dogs. That Sunday morning, we decided to take the pups out for a walk. Of course, it was way too cold to walk to the beach with the girls so we walked around the lake by our house. We got to a pretty spot, and Kevin got down on one knee and proposed! While we were both wearing pjs and I was makeup-less, I could not have asked for a better engagement. I was with my guy and my puppies đ¶â€
