Things to Do

There are a ton of places to visit near the wedding venue. We have listed a few of our favorites if you plan to stay for the weekend.
Winterthur

Winterthur

5105 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19735

All guests will receive complimentary passes to the Winterthur estates for the weekend. If you will be around earlier in the day on Saturday or on Sunday, Winterthur is a beautiful estate that was owned by the Duponts. There is a museum or art gallery to peruse, or many outdoor areas to explore including a fairy garden and azaelea pathways.

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Rd, Kennet Square, PA 19348

Beautiful and well maintained indoor and outdoor gardens, greenhouses and grounds. Once owned by the DuPonts (just like everything else in Delaware), it is now one of America's premier horticultural display garden. If you have time to visit, you definitely should. You can easily spend an entire day wandering through the massive grounds.

Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia is a fantastic city to visit, and we are very excited to be moving back here. It is very walkable, and there a myriad of tourist attractions (Love park, old city, the art museum with the Rocky steps, Boathouse row) for all interests. Most importantly, the food here is phenomenal. If you would like any guidance on culinary adventures, please reach out to us - Cindy has so many suggestions for all of the delicious places to try.

Christiana Mall

Christiana Mall

Mall Road, Christiana, DE

Shopping is tax-free in Delaware! If you are around for awhile, the Christiana Mall has a large variety of shops for all interests.
