Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required, the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate. For the Ladies: The choices are the same with black tie: a floor-length gown or a fancy cocktail dress. For the Men: Men have the option of wearing a tuxedo or a formal suit with a tie or bow tie.
