After college and finding a new job in Orange County, I found myself downloading the dating app Hinge to see what the dating scene in OC would be like. I came across this girl named Danica whose ideal date is driving down the PCH, listening to a well-curated playlist, and getting tacos. After weeks of messaging and getting to know each other, I asked her to get tacos with me at Señor Taco. To be honest, the tacos were just okay so I promised to get her better ones. I knew I had to ask her on another date and as a huge professional wrestling fan, I asked her to go to a wrestling event with me. After all, I think this would be an interesting test to see if she’s “the one”. To my surprise, she said "yes". That was the biggest "yes" that made me fall for her until the night I asked her to marry me on December of 2022. We celebrated that night with our closest family and friends. And now, we're even more excited to start our married life in front of our loved ones!
It was written in the stars when I finally decided to download a dating app and met my future husband—Kevin was my first date on Hinge! I was drawn by his good looks, but what really sealed the deal was his dog, Riley. I thought he was having way too much fun planning our dates from paint nights to wrestling events. So one day, I decided to invite him to church with me. As fate would have it, during our first time together at church, we were asked to walk down the aisle (to present gifts to the altar). Definitely a bit of foreshadowing there! Fast forward to our third year of dating, Kevin decided to pop the question. I was off on vacation with my best friends when Kevin secretly asked my whole family for their blessing. The engagement to say the least, was truly special and a total surprise. We ended the night surrounded with family and friends, and of course, with tacos—just like how it all began!
