The ceremony and venue are both outdoors, we are going to have heat lamps and blankets available if necessary. Please bring your warm sweaters and shoes you will be comfortable walking (and dancing) on the grass with. We will keep an eye on the weather and let you know if anything changes!
We would love to have a final headcount by July 2022, but the sooner the better. Please keep us informed of any changes that may arise.
There is a parking lot at the Bass Lake Dam which is at the intersection of Road 222 and Road 229. Please park here and we are arranging a shuttle to get you to and from the venue. If you can, try to carpool so we can minimize the number of cars.
When we spoke with our venue they let us know that there is only one person driving for Uber around the area. We did see some options for Lyft, but that might also be limited. Taking that into consideration, we will be having an open bar, designate a DD and don't let this event be something you regret :)
The town of Oakhurst is about 15 minutes from the venue, and they have quite a few hotels close by. We have stayed at the Sierra Sky Ranch: 50552 Rd 632, Oakhurst, CA 9364, it was super cute and cozy more of a cabin feeling.
The venue and reception are both outdoors, we are hoping that as we get closer to October the case rate will continue to decrease. If the situation does not improve we will be asking that you please get a negative COVID test before coming. If you are feeling sick please stay home. We want to make sure that our important day isn't the cause of our loved ones getting sick. We will have vulnerable guests at the event and ask you to take that into consideration when you decide to participate. Thank you for understanding.
